ADMISSION NOTIFICATION 2006 – 2007

Applications are invited for admission to M.B.A., M.C.A., and M.E., (Comp. Sci & Engg) courses offered in the University Departments for the academic year 2006-2007.

Any eligible candidate who is appearing for the final year U.G degree examination during April/May 2006 can also apply.

Applicants seeking admission to M.B.A., M.C.A., and M.E., courses are required to appear for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET – 2006) to be conducted by Anna University, Chennai on 27th and 28th May 2006.

Selection for the M.B.A., programme is based on the TANCET – 2006 Entrance Marks, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Selection for the M.C.A., and M.E., programmes will be made by M.S. University based on the TANCET – 2006 entrance test marks. GATE candidates will be admitted directly to M.E programme based on the GATE score. All the GATE candidates are eligible for AICTE PG scholarship.

Application Procedure:

1) Apply for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test 2006 (TANCET) conducted by Anna University on 27th May 2006 for MBA and MCA, 28th May 2006 for M. E. (Ref: Anna University Notification in The Hindu dated 26th March 2006 and www.annauniv.edu/tancet2006).

2) Application forms can be downloaded from www.msuniversitytvl.net 

3) Application forms can also be obtained from the Registrar by remitting a Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar, M.S. University’, payable at ‘Tirunelveli’, for Rs. 350/- in person and Rs. 370/- by Post. SC / ST Candidates to pay Rs.175/- in person and Rs.195/- by Post.

4) Applications downloaded from the website must be submitted along with a Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar, M.S. University’, payable at ‘Tirunelveli’, for Rs. 350/- SC / ST Candidates to pay Rs.175/- . 

5) The SC/ST Candidates should produce attested Xerox copy of the Community Certificate along with requisition letter to obtain application.

6) Send a photocopy of TANCET 2006 or GATE admit card along with the filled in application form.

Date of issue of applications: 12.04.2006 to 05.06.2006.

• Last date for receipt of filled in application form at M.S. University is 5th June 2006.
• A copy of TANCET 2006/GATE 2006 score should be submitted within a week from the date of publication of TANCET/GATE results.
